The Blending Cellar Expands Its Consumer Offering,
Just in Time for Summer

Wine enthusiasts can make and purchase their own wine on-site or from home Sonoma, California, June 6, 2007. Today The Blending Cellar, a wine blending facility for consumers, announced the expansion of its blending program in Sonoma Valley. Due to high demand, The Blending Cellar and Mayo Familly Winery are now offering more varietals for custom blends and have also modified their facility to accomodate for large groups.

The Blending Cellar was designed to provide consumers with an easy way to make high end wines and customize winery quality labels. The wines used for blending are made from award-winning Sonoma and Napa Valley vineyards by Mike Berthoud, Mayo Family Winery winemaker (formally from Arrowood Vineyards and Winery). The wines include the classic Bordeaux varietals and two distinctly different Cabernet Sauvignons (that range from soft and fruit-forward to intense and powerful) to accomodate for varying palates. The result is Blending Cellar customers are able to make their own blends using six very high quality wines.

"We want to offer people a new wine experience they cannot find anywhere else," said Jeff McEachern, partner with The Blending Cellar. "While some wineries allow consumers to experience blending sessions, we are unique in our ability to allow people to purchase as many bottles of their final blend as they want."

"Our ability to deliver single vineyard wines for custom blends is unique to our industry," said Jeff Mayo, President of Mayo Family Winery. "Our goal is to provide consumers with a one-of-a-kind experience to make high quality wines that suit their individual palate."

Individuals can experience The Blending Cellar by visiting the barrel room facility at the Mayo Family Winery in Glen Ellen or they can purchase and have a blending kit shipped to their home or business. Appointments are available daily and blending kits can be ordered over the phone or online for $100. There is a 6 bottle minimum purchase (at $40/bottle) after customers finalize their blend.
